New York's stages, museums and concert halls are brimming with knowledge that would enrich a class. But who has time to call a venue, negotiate a good price, buy the tickets, and sell them to students? The Arts Initiative does. ArtsLink makes assigning a New York cultural event as easy as assigning a book. Here's how it works:
1. Each semester ArtsLink will provide Columbia faculty with an online catalog of affordable, academically relevant performances and exhibits chosen from the NYC cultural season.
2. Professors assign an event simply by sharing the event's link, in Courseworks or via email.
3. Students click to buy online and pick up tickets at the Ticket and Information Center (TIC) in Lerner.
Chekhov for sociologists. Ellington for historians. Sondheim for economists. All presented by New York’s finest artists. |
