NYC Web Links

The listings that follow alphabetically are, of course, online guides. For printed listings, the magazine Time Out is always useful, and the Times or Village Voice listings, though not complete, can always provide you with more arts action than any of us could ever take in. And not to make you crazy, but another take on the Guide to the Guides idea can be found via the CU homepage: CLIO's Exploring New York City.

We have not included film listings for the commercial houses, because they are widely available. If you're a Mac person, you know that Sherlock will tell you everything, and anybody can go to Moviefone online. The film theatres that show less commercial, and often far more interesting, films can be found in the NYC ARTS Culture Guide.

If you think we've missed a major digital resource, please let us know, and we'll add it.

Run by New York Mag - New York Metro is a solid site with good info about what's going on in the Classical, Dance and Opera world. It's not comprehensive, but a complete site for the classical arts does not seem to exist (if you find one let us know). New York Metro is also good for restuarant, theatre, film, museum and other cultural event info. Also a great place to look for things to do while the 'rents are in town.
