SUMMER INTERNSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR MINORITY STUDENTS IN
MAGAZINE PUBLISHING, BOOK PUBLISHING AND TELEVISION
PRODUCTION!
The Women's Media Group, a New York City-based, non-profit
organization, is offering several internships during the
summer of 2007 for minority women who are presently juniors
in college. These paid positions are eight to ten weeks in
length. The internships will be with national magazines, book
publishers and other book-industry businesses, and broadcast
networks. (Last year, we placed interns with Time Inc., Condé
Nast, Bloomberg Financial News, NBC, and Random House, Inc.,
among others.)
Housing is not provided and all applicants must be able to
secure their own accommodations in the New York City area.
All interested applicants should contact us by e-mail no
later than Friday, February 2nd. We will conduct interviews
over the phone or in person during the months of January and
February. Applicants will be informed of decisions on a
rolling basis. Your application should include a resume and a
detailed cover letter telling us about yourself, your college
studies, and why you are interested in an internship in book
publishing, magazine publishing, or broadcast media. Please
note that your cover letter should address one of these areas
specifically—a general interest in "media" is not sufficient
for consideration.
