The Tank is a non-profit visual and performing arts space located in
Tribeca. Internships at The Tank offer the unique opportunity to get
involved in the emerging arts scene of New York. As an intern you will have
the chance to learn in depth about the inner workings of a young, non-profit
arts space and will be exposed to an extensive pool of artists, performers,
writers, producers and directors across disciplines.
The Tank is currently seeking 2 (two) Arts Administration Interns to begin
an 8-week internship in January 2007. Start dates are rolling. Applications
should be received no later than January 5, 2007.
ARTS ADMINISTRATION INTERN
The Arts Administration Intern will work with the Managing Director on
day-to-day house management and administration. Duties will include
assisting with program coordination and scheduling, maintaining the web site
and email lists, preparing the house for evening performances, bookkeeping
and general office administration, marketing, PR and event coordination,
among others. We are seeking a candidate who works well independently, with
exceptional attention to detail and outstanding communications and
organizational skills. This candidate should have a passion for the arts and
be interested in learning about all facets of Arts Administration. A
commitment of 10-12 hours per week for a minimum of 8 weeks is required.
