TITLE: Collections Intern, LIFE Magazine Collection
SCHEDULE: 2 to 5 days/week; Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
DATES REQUIRED: Winter–Spring 2007
SUPERVISOR’S TITLE: Assistant Registrar and Assistant Curator, Collections
INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION: Reports to Assistant Registrar and Assistant Curator, Collections. Duties include organizing, archiving, and creating finding aids for paperwork related to the LIFE Magazine Collection.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: B.A. in museum studies, art history, or related field.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: Knowledge of history of photography, excellent research and writing skills, familiarity with databases, and an understanding of general museum practices. Must be able to follow detailed instructions. Must be interested in working with objects.
