WHAT: Enjoy a private tour, outside of museum hours, of the Neue Galerie's current "Gustav Klimt" and “Wiener Werkstätte Jewelry" exhibits. "Gustav Klimt: Five Paintings from the Collection of Ferdinand and Adele Bloch-Bauer” consists of masterworks by Klimt that had been restituted to Maria Altmann and the heirs of the Bloch-Bauer family by the Austrian government. The best-known of the five works in the exhibition is Adele Bloch-Bauer I, a "once-in-a-lifetime acquisition" recently made by the Galerie. The second exhibition highlights pieces created by the Wiener Werkstätte between the firm’s inception in 1903 and 1920; work whose beauty lies in the way it blurs the line between precious ornament and miniature sculpture.

WHO: Neue Galerie New York is one of the city's most elegant museums devoted to early twentieth-century German and Austrian art and design, displayed on two exhibition floors.

WHAT: TV recap/fan sites like Television Without Pity have a significant impact on television's creative community, as producers are able to instantly track fans' reactions to their programming. In addition to the entertainment these portals provide readers, they have become the ultimate focus group, making passionate, informed, unfiltered audience responses to new material a simple click away. We are gathering writers behind some of the more well-known sites to discuss the influence of fan sites on programming, the culture of actively engaged critical communities, and their position in the "legitimate" critical landscape. In person: Kevin Croy (Lostpedia), Remona Outar (Ugly Is In), ProgGrrl (Galactica Sitrep), Dan Manu (Television Without Pity), Damon Schmidt (Whedonesque), Jennie Tan (OfficeTally)

WHO: The Paley Center for Media leads the discussion about the cultural, creative, and social significance of television, radio, and emerging platforms for the professional community and media-interested public. Drawing upon its curatorial expertise, an international collection, and close relationships with the leaders of the media community, the Paley Center examines the intersections between media and society.

WHAT: In early 2007, George Packer published an article in The New Yorker about Iraqi interpreters who jeopardized their lives on behalf of the Americans in Iraq, with little or no protection or security from the U.S. The article drew national attention to the humanitarian crisis and the moral scandal. Based on Packer’s interviews in Baghdad, Betrayed tells the story of three young Iraqis—two men and one woman-who are motivated to risk everything by America’s promise of freedom. Betrayed explores the complex relationships among the Iraqis themselves and between them and their American supervisor, as they struggle to find purpose while a country collapses around them. Betrayed is directed by Pippin Parker and features Jeremy Beck, Aadya Bedi, Mike Doyle, Ramsey Faragallah, Sevan Greene and Waleed F. Zuaiter.

WHO: Culture Project's mission is to bear witness to injustice, to stimulate challenging conversation about the most profound and urgent matters of our time and to convert interest, energy and engagement into a motivational demand for progressive change. Blending prize-winning theater with urgent moral drama, Culture Project brings the national political conversation to life on the New York Stage.
