The Armory Show

The Armory Show is held annually in New York City, home to more galleries, artists, critics and art institutions than any other city in the world, a mecca for serious collectors. The Armory Show, The International Fair of New Art, was started by four New York art dealers as The Gramercy International Contemporary Art Fair in 1994 and takes its name from the notable history of the 1913 Armory Show, which introduced European Modernism to America. A new addition this year was the Armory Show - Modern, which was a new section dedicated to international dealers specializing in historically significant Modern and contemporary art.

CAAL members had access to the Armory an hour before the show opened, with a tour by Michael Sellinger (BUS '91), of Cottelston Advisors.
